Through the Water for symphonic band
Through the Water centers around natural disasters and my experiences surrounding hurricanes in southeastern Louisiana, specifically Hurricane Katrina and Hurricane Gustav. A large portion of the thematic material throughout the work stems from the spiritual “Wade in the Water”, which is intertwined between instruments and styles throughout.
