I have always had a special attachment to the Appalachian Mountains. As a kid, my family would come up to the Smoky Mountain area and hike and appreciate the natural world around us. When I was deciding on a school for my undergraduate studies, I knew I wanted to go back to that nostalgic place where I had always felt at home while still being away from my true home. The feelings associated with autumn differ for each person, but I hope that you can really see the beauty of the Appalachian Mountains in the wonderful season of fall through Autumn in Appalachia.
